Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with the theoretical frames of translation and interpretation, as well as practical sessions to conduct interpretation in health care settings. The course will support students in obtaining a thorough understanding of the codes of ethics used by the National Council of Interpreting in Health Care. Students will analyze and perform sensitive scenarios that require interpreters to advocate for the patient, at the same time as they abide by the principles of transparency in the field of interpretation.
