AI AND ETHICS

Course Description

This course is focused on ethical concerns, case studies, and discussions around the acquisition, storage,
and usage of AI generated data by C-Suite leaders in various organizations. The course will include, but
will not be limited to, privacy, security, data anonymization, responsible technology adoption, bias and
fairness in AI algorithms, and AI's societal impact. This course will explore the ethical challenges that
businesses face which emerge from AI and corporate practices around these technologies. Students will
make use of AI, map out policies that have been proposed as solutions to these challenges, and analyze the
normative arguments behind these policies. The course is organized around six core principles for the
responsible use of AI: Autonomy, Explainability, Discrimination, Fairness, Benefit, and Responsibility &
Control. Students will learn to develop AI strategies aligned with ethical principles and ensure responsible
AI adoption within organizations.
