The advent of the digital computer, along with technologies such as the World Wide Web, has caused profound changes in the way we communicate and create. This course will examine the computer as a medium. Hands-on learning will give the student the technical skills to survive in the new digital culture, while critical readings and assignments will give them the cognitive skills to understand it.
