Course Description
This lab course is complementary to the General Chemistry I lecture course which is taken concurrently. The experiments were chosen to reinforce ideas and concepts that are introduced in the lecture. Students will perform experiments in the areas of properties of matter, chemical formulas, chemical reactions, volumetric methods, graphical analysis, properties of gases, atomic spectroscopy, and molecular geometry and bonding. Students will begin to build a foundation of chemical experimentation techniques that will be useful in all science disciplines. Course fee required.
