LEGAL ANTHROPOLOGY
Course Description
A study of the interrelationship between a culture and its legal system, with an emphasis on contemporary industrial culture compared with agrarian culture; informal and formal regulations of social order, such as prevention of crime, punishment of criminals, strategies of social control; and the feedback between social change and the legal system. Satisfies COMPARATIVE elective requirement in Law and Society.
