Our contemporary culture faces increasing distrust in scientific principles. Only citizens with basic scientific sensibility can grapple with the complexity, diversity, and change they will face. The fundamental principles and analytical methods of physics are studied. Areas covered include thermodynamics, electromagnetics. electronics, optics, and an intro to quantum mechanics. This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence with laboratory.
