Course Description

This is an elective course in the MSW program that prepares students for leadership in the management and administration of public and private human service organizations. The course presents theories related to organizational leadership and explores the historical origins of current management techniques for practice at the agency and community levels. It focuses on functions of organizational leadership, such as fiscal management. Special emphasis is placed on the clinical supervision of staff.
