Designed to be relevant to all students, the course particularly focuses on the law related to healthcare administration and health care policy. The course includes public health institutions, private and public insurance, discrimination in access to, and treatment in, health care, as well as considerations of various potential healthcare reforms. Students will learn about patient rights and obligations, as well as advance directives and other important legal tools for planning one’s health care.
