FORMERLY LANG-427: This course introduces students to short selected passages from the great works of literature in their original language. Different periods and genres will be covered to give the students a perspective of the depth, scope, and value of literary expression in the cultural fabric of society. Concurrently, the analysis of vocabulary, grammar and syntax in the excerpts will reinforce essential language skills.
