Course Description

This course examines the movement of chemicals through environmental systems and the influence these chemicals have on organisms. The chemical properties of contaminants will be related to their movement in the environment and their accumulation in organisms. Toxicity at the cellular and organ level will be examined along with the effect of contaminants on populations, communities and ecosystems. This course will be a combination of lectures, journal article reviews and student presentations.
