Course Description

A study of law in the business environment including: aspects of criminal, tort, and contractual law that deal with the rights and liabilities of the individual and the businessperson; an investigation of the law as it relates to employer and employee, to principal, agents and their parties, to partnership contracts, to corporation charters, by-laws, stockholders, and officers and directors; and a discussion of selected areas of the law including cyberlaw and intellectual property.
