Course Description
Advanced Art History Studies is always focused on a specific topic in Art History and visual culture that requires critical analysis and substantive development of issues and themes. Students learn about, describe, and analyze social, cultural, and historical contexts in which creative work is produced. Advanced Art History Studies courses are only offered on a once-off basis, in response to the demand for an advanced-level course in the area of expertise of a visiting or adjunct professor or to take advantage of some timely topical subject matter or current exhibition.
